3 jaw-dropping factors of San Andreas

Did you know? Hollywood is falling, quite literally… Only in the SAN ANDREAS movie, of course! From the trailer, Brad Peyton’s disaster flick promises to be an ‘earth-shattering’ blockbuster this summer. So here, I bring you 3 jaw-dropping factors of SAN ANDREAS!

1. If you smell what the Rock is cooking!

I don’t know about cooking, but the Rock’s aka Dwayne Johnson’s acting skills are commendable. We last saw him in portraying his consistent role as the DSS agent Luke Hobbs, in FURIOUS 7. In this movie, Johnson essays a helicopter rescue pilot. He is determined to save his daughter from an apocalyptic San Francisco, and make it through the earthquakes/tsunamis, alive. I would also like to mention that the performances of the supporting cast were also great!

2. A disaster movie, with a message

Unlike 2012 or ARMAGEDDON, SAN ANDREAS does not exactly portray the end of the world. It simply shows the strong, extreme power of mother nature. The earthquake and tsunami sequences in the movie raises awareness of how the lack in care for our environment, could potentially lead to such catastrophes.

3. Fascinating, killer special effects

Addressing the elephant in the room, the special effects. I never realised that huge waves and magnanimous buildings collapsing could be so dangerously spectacular. Throughout the movie, the special effects maintains your attention following many wow-factors. These effects evoke our emotions. Trust me, you will not get bored!

Overall, SAN ANDREAS is an entertaining movie. My only criticism is that the story gets clichéd in a few places. Despite that, the breath-taking special effects and power-packed performances will maintain your attention for the next two hours or so!
