Balaji Telefilms’ show Kasautii Zindagi Kay is iconic – to say the least. For quite some time, there were reports regarding a potential season two of the show and it has been confirmed that Erica Fernandes (of ‘Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke’) has apparently been finalised to play ‘Prerna’ in the reboot.
However, the pursuit of an actor to play Anurag is on. The original serial had Shweta Tiwari and Cezanne Khan playing the lead roles.
A source claims that producer Ekta Kapoor has been meeting TV actors and auditions are underway. “Several actors have already given look tests, but Ekta wants somebody who will match the traits of Anurag.
The hero has to be a little khadoos, a workaholic and a man who is stuck between two women,” says our source, adding, “There was the talk of Shaheer Sheikh doing the role, but he is not in the reckoning. Ekta has two actors in mind, Angad Bedi and Mohit Raina, but is yet to take a final call. Nonetheless, she will decide soon as the shoot is scheduled to begin in two weeks.”
It will most certainly be interesting to see who will be our new Anurag!
