Hina Khan, whom we have seen as the main protagonist in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, could be the new Komolika in Ekta Kapoor’s second season of Kasautii Zindagi Kay.
Ekta Kapoor, who has always maintained that it would be difficult to find a replacement for Urvashi Dholakia, recently took to social media to drop a few hints on who will play the role.
“So d actor will have to look v innocent! Childlike face n unbelievably sharp hoping to give this antagonist a complete reboot!” she wrote.
A report in a Mumbai-based newspaper, Hina Khan is in talks with Ekta Kapoor for the part and after having read Ekta’s tweet, the news indeed seems true for Hina does have an innocent face.
“Talks have reached an advanced stage and the makers are keen on roping in Hina for the part. She is expected to sign on the dotted line soon,” a source close to the project told the daily.
If this piece of news turns out to be true then this will mark Hina’s comeback to the fiction genre after two years of quitting ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’.
A source also told a different Indian daily, “Kasautii has always been special for Ekta and now that she is rebooting it, she is keeping a close watch on all developments.
The teaser has been shot to officially announce the series and a complete promo will be released once the male lead is locked. The creatives are quite kicked about adapting the show in today’s time and the channel is also betting on the show to garner some ratings for it.”
Whilst Erica Fernandes (of ‘Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke’ fame) has been chosen as the new Prerna, there have also been several speculations as to whom will play the new Anurag.
Several names including Mohit Raina, Barun Sobti and Angad Bedi are doing the rounds, though there has been no official confirmation.
