Arjun Kapoor tasted success with Mubarakan, which is a comedy helmed by Anees Bazmee. Now according to reports, it seems that Salman Khan’s role will be replaced by Arjun himself.
Anees Bazmee will be helming the project and it will be bankrolled by Boney Kapoor. A source told an Indian tabloid, “The movie is currently in the scripting stage.
But the story is such that it requires a new cast. Though several names are being discussed, Boney is keen that Arjun leads the pack. Given the success of Mubarakan (2017), Boney feels director Anees Bazmee and Arjun make a strong team.”
A source close to Boney added, “Boney Sir is currently focusing on his film with Ajay Devgn. It’s only when this film rolls, will he set his sights on No Entry sequel. It’s too early to talk.”
Last year, the reports came that the makers apparently waited for Salman but given the superstar’s tight schedule, the makers have decided to change things up.
Aneez Bazmee had said in an interview, “Salman is a fantastic actor, he is a star. If he is part of the film then it is really very good, but if he doesn’t want to do it then we will have to think of another actor with all plus and minus points and accordingly work towards it (story). Whenever Salman is part of a film it does benefit (the film).”
It would be awesome to see our ‘Most Wanted Munda’ display his comedic prowess in the No Entry sequel – as and when this news becomes official!
