Komolika is one iconic and legendary vamp in the history of Indian television.
Recently on the reboot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay, we saw the antagonist’s entry, but their voice and face were not revealed.
Now, it has been revealed that Hina Khan to play the role, confirming all denied rumours from the past.
The first look of Hina Khan as Komolika is out and she has also opened up about playing the iconic character.
While speaking to the Times of India, Hina Khan stated:
“Komolika became a household name who is reminisced even today. She is strongly instilled in the hearts and minds of the viewers.
I will try to retain the essence of the old character, but with a new spin,” she told the paper.
The first look of Hina Khan as Komolika is out and it has created a buzz on social media.
From a backless choli to a statement nath (nose-ring), Hina’s look as Komolika is strikingly impressive.
On playing a negative character for the first time, Hina said:
“Komolika is not a typical vamp, she has a lot of shades to her which unfold as the story progresses which enticed me to play the character.
Viewers will see me in an entirely new avatar and I always wanted to try something new to push myself as an actor.”
Hina Khan returns to working on Star Plus two years after her exit as the female protagonist Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.Â
As such, Hina was established as the first runner-up on last year’s eleventh season of Bigg Boss.
