Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have finally left for Italy and their wedding festivities take place on November 14 and 15.
But before doing so, the power couple met some personalities from within the industry, who have a pivotal place in their lives.
Says a source to a media outlet:
“Ranveer and Deepika wanted to meet people who they are close to before leaving for Italy as many of them won’t be able to be present on their special day.
They visited Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar’s residences to seek their good wishes and invite them to partake in the celebrations that will be held in Mumbai later this month.”
The Padukones and Bhavnanis (Ranveer’s family) will host two receptions — one in Bengaluru (Deepika’s hometown) and the other in Mumbai.
The source adds: “The wedding will take place in the presence of their immediate family members and closest friends.
However, the reception in Mumbai will see the who’s who of B-Town in attendance.
It will be nothing short of a display of power that these two yields. Deepika is the numero uno actress in Bollywood, while Ranveer is a superstar with an equally large fan following.”
This is one event that people will follow closely to see who walks the red carpet. After all, Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas’ wedding is around the corner and they, too, will have a reception in Mumbai.
The source adds, “While the two ladies aren’t competing with each other, their fans and the industrywallahs will watch the proceedings avidly.”
