Varun Dhawan’s next film is Kalank. But besides this, there have been numerous speculations as to what film he will be doing next.
For quite some time, there were rumours that Varun would be doing the Coolie No.1 remake, but according to media reports, this conjecture has been quashed.
An anonymous source states:
“Those David Dhawan blockbusters in the past are invincible. No matter how well Varun performs in the remake, he will be judged poorly.
Why should he do a remake of Hero No. 1, Coolie No. 1, Raja Babu or any other hit of his father with Govinda or Salman? Varun did work in a remake of his father’s Judwaa.
But that’s it. Never again.”
In fact, media reports also imply that David Dhawan is working on a completely original script for his son.
“It will be in the same mood and style as those beloved Govinda starrers, but not a remake,” says David.
