Chhapaak is the title for Meghna Gulzar’s next film starring Deepika Padukone.
After several reports of Rajkummar Rao playing the male lead, Vikrant Massey has been confirmed to do the role.
This news was confirmed by Vikrant himself as he took to Twitter to express his elation on being a part of this project. Vikrant tweeted:

Looking forward to working with the supremely talented @DeepikaPadukone.” To this, Deepika Padukone expressed her happiness and welcomed Vikrant in the team.
She tweeted, “Welcome to the team @masseysahib!!! Thrilled to have you on board!!!”
Meghna Gulzar, in an interview, said that the film about Laxmi Agarwal with Deepika Padukone in the lead delves into all the aspects about the acid violence, medical advancement, compensation for victims.
She said: “In the film with Deepika on acid violence, I’m using Laxmi Agarwal as a subject because she is the most known acid fighter.”
The movie is being co-produced by Deepika Padukone and will go on the floors in March 2019.
Chhapaak is based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal who is an acid attack survivor and stars Deepika Padukone in the lead.
The film which will go on the floor soon will see Deepika stepping into Laxmi’s shoes. However, the title wasn’t revealed until now.
But, today the title of the film was revealed by the makers along with another news and it surely made everyone excited.
