Kruti Mahesh: The ‘Ghoomar’ Choreographer to Host Dance Workshop in London

Critically-acclaimed Kruti Mahesh, choreographer to A-list Bollywood stars such as Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan and Deepika Padukone will be presenting her first ever master dance workshop in London on 16th March at Kenton Methodist Hall, Harrow.

Kruti a master in contemporary, Bollywood and classical dance styles will be doing two workshops for London students both beginners and dance students.

Kruti has choreographed for Bollywood blockbusters such as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, assisted in Varun Dhawan’s and Shraddha Kapoor’s ABCD 2 and Salman Khan’s Race 3 amongst others.

She started her career as a contestant on Indian dance contest “Dance India Dance” and won the Best Solo Dancer award on the show.

She moved on to choreographing for TV shows such as Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and Bigg Boss before her move to working for major films.

The popular “Ghoomar” song and video from filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat put Kruti on the map, which she has also won many awards for.

Kruti says: “I am super excited to announce my first ever dance workshop here in London.

I am incredibly lucky to have been on a journey which has taught me so many things.

It’s taught me to be patient and keep learning.

I think I have been blessed to have Remo sir as my mentor when I started in the industry.

I have been blessed to have Sanjay Leela Bhansali to believe in me and I am just happy to give back to my students.”

The event is being organised by KKaramel Events and Artist Management and supported by Kuntals Bollywood Dance Company. Kalpana, the Executive Director at KKaramel says:

“We are proud to host Kruti Mahesh on her first ever London workshop for students of Indian contemporary, semi-classical and folk dance.

Kuntal has been running contemporary Bollywood and Folk dance classes since 2011 and we are excited to present Kruti to her students and everyone in London who want to learn from the world’s leading Indian dance choreographer.”
