Baahubali Actors CONFIRMED for Royal Albert Hall Premiere

The stars of Baahubali – The Beginning will be in town this October, as the action epic becomes the first South Asian movie to feature in the Royal Albert Hall’s Films in Concert series.

Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty will join director S. S. Rajamouli and composer M. M. Keeravani at the iconic London venue for the special one-off celebration on Saturday 19 October.

This world premiere of Baahubali – The Beginning LIVE will see the film screened in high definition – and in full as the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra plays Keeravani’s score live on stage.

Lucy Noble, Artistic Director of the Royal Albert Hall, said:

“We’re so excited to announce that the talent behind Baahubali – including three of the world’s most popular movie stars – will be coming to the Hall for this unique celebration of a cinematic phenomenon.”

Baahubali – The Beginning follows Sivudu, an orphan raised by adoptive parents in a secluded tribal village.

Curious to see the world, he journeys far from home, discovering love – and the dark truth about his family – on his way to a fierce battle against the kingdom of Mahishmati.

Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah, Baahubali became the highest-grossing movie in Indian history and won Best Film at the Indian Oscars.

The Royal Albert Hall is one of the world’s most glamorous and historic venues. Since it was opened by Queen Victoria in 1871, it has played host to everyone from Winston Churchill and Albert Einstein to The Beatles and Adele.

Its Films in Concert series is celebrating its 10th anniversary, with the 500,000th ticket having just been sold.

Other upcoming events including Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Skyfall, Blade Runner and E. T. the Extra Terrestrial.

Baahubali – The Beginning LIVE will screen in Hindi with English subtitles.
