Aanand L Rai is planning his next film and is apparently bringing Hrithik Roshan, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush together on celluloid.
According to a news daily, the Zero director is in talks with Hrithik and Sara and they both will be joining Dhanush in the upcoming film.
“Sara Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan were approached for this movie after Dhanush.
While an official announcement is yet to happen, the makers are quite excited for it already,” a source close to Colour Yellow Films- Rai’s production house, informed.
Hrithik and Sara will be working with the director for the first time.
But, this will be Dhanush’s second project with Rai, after the 2013 film Raanjhanaa, which also starred Sonam Kapoor in the lead role.
In an earlier report of a newspaper, Dhanush himself opened up about his comeback to Bollywood and confirmed his second collaboration with Aanand L Rai.
“Yes, I will be teaming up with Aanand L Rai in some time, but other than that, I am waiting for the right script to come my way.
I am doing a Hindi film and there will be an announcement about the same pretty soon,” Dhanush had said.
Meanwhile, Aanand L Rai’s film Zero, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, tanked at the box office last year.
Despite its hype, it could barely make Rs 100 crore.
In an interview to PTI earlier, the director opened up about Zero’s failure by saying:
“I won’t say I am disappointed. I will need to understand (what went wrong). This is the story I wanted to say and I made it.
After making Ranjhaanaa and Tanu Weds Manu and the second one, this film (Zero) was due for me to make. I took a certain flight and I have not landed on it properly.”
