Some current news reports stated that Kartik Aaryan might also be considered as the male lead for the project, though this is yet unconfirmed.
Gangubai Kathiawadi will reportedly be a biopic based on the Madam Of Kamathipura, Gangubai Kothewali.
Based on a chapter from Hussain Zaidi’s novel Mafia Queens Of Mumbai, it is believed to focus on how Gangubai becomes an influential pimp in the city.
The film is scheduled to release in September next year.
