A Night In Bollywood With Kumar Sanu and the Cast of Aashiqui

Bollywood Gallery presents Kumar Sanu LIVE on stage for a rare one night only UK performance of his hits from the groundbreaking film soundtrack Aashiqui.

He will be accompanied by the movie’s actors Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal for an onstage interview about the making of the film.

This event marks the 30th year anniversary. Dynamitez director Sheena Sedani is the official production team, show host and compere. 

It takes place on 30th November at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham at 17:30.

Each artist will participate in a LIVE on-stage interview, telling untold stories about their personal lives, careers and the making of the Mahesh Bhatt directorial, followed by a performance of soundtrack hits by Kumar Sanu.

Aashiqui, the 1990 mega-hit film, known for its music, established the career of the now legendary playback singer and undisputed King of Melody, Kumar Sanu.

His popular voice has been used in hundreds of Bollywood movies, earning Sanu a record five consecutive Filmfare Best Male Playback Singer Awards, dozens of honours and the Guinness World Record for most songs recorded in 24 hours.

Rahul Roy began his career as the lead actor of Aashiqui.

An established actor, he has been honoured with life membership of the International Film and Television Club of Asian Academy of Film & Television.

Today, Roy produces Hindi films under his own banner Rahul Roy Productions.

Anu Aggarwal the break out star of Aashiqui, further known for her works in The Cloud Door and Khal-Naaikaa, the latter earning her a Filmfare Awards nomination.

In 1999, Aggarwal was involved in a serious car accident that put her in a coma for 29 days, leaving her with no memory of her earlier life, effectively ending her acting career.

However, that didn’t stop Anu from living, today she is a celebrated international author, a naturopathic doctor, and is often asked to speak at health conferences worldwide.

Through her foundation (AAF), she has worked toward rehabilitating destitute women and those with PTSD in the slums of Mumbai.
