Priyanka Chopra Jonas & Richard Madden in Amazon Prime’s Citadel

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden will be seen in Russo brothers’ Amazon Prime Series Citadel.

Whilst plot details are still unknown, the announcement was made at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

However, according to media reports, the epic Citadel franchise which is a co-production with Midnight Radio is described as action-packed spy series with a compelling emotional centre.

Amazon also announced that a local language production of the franchise will originate from Mexico, in addition to the previously announced versions in Italy and India.

Madden and PC will star in the U.S. “mothership” edition of the series and the show had originally been announced in July 2018.

Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio will be writers and executive producers of Citadel.

Patrick Moran, Mike Larocca, and Joe and Anthony Russo serve as executive producers.

The Italian series will be co-produced with Amazon Studios and Cattleya, part of ITV Studios and the Indian series will be developed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. – produced with Amazon Studios.

Interestingly, it was announced in December that Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas were producing an unscripted Sangeet series at Amazon.

She is a former Miss World and leading Bollywood actor who made her American onscreen debut in the ABC drama series Quantico in 2015.

Priyanka has starred in various films since then and is currently developing an untitled Indian wedding comedy with Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor at Universal in which she will star and serve as co-producer.

She was last seen in The Sky Is Pink as the main lead as well as co-producer.

Madden is coming off his Golden Globe-winning role in the BBC One series Bodyguard.

He is also known for his role in Game of Thrones and in films such as 1917 and Rocketman. Currently, he is working on the Marvel film The Eternals.
