After a high josh in Uri, Vicky Kaushal returns on the big screen to frighten us with his next film Bhoot: The Haunted Ship.
In the trailer, Vicky (who plays Prithvi) is seen entering a dead ship called Sea Bird, which is found stranded at Mumbai’s Juhu beach one stormy night.
Prithvi, a survey officer on the Sea Bird, is seen inspecting the desolate ship as a ghost crawls in the background.
The trailer then shows him digging up details of the ship, which reveals that it is haunted. The rest of the video has Vicky dealing with the horror.
Sharing a few words about exploring this genre, Kaushal says at the trailer launch:
“This was something I was not prepared for as an actor. While doing comedy, drama or emotional scenes, you can leave it to the moment between co-actors.
You can rehearse, and while acting you leave it to the moment. You surrender to the moment and create something.
But horror is a genre where I had to know everything in advance.
The scene was explained to me in advance and I know what”s going to happen next and have to react to it. I cannot just leave it to the moment.
So, it was very technical and detailed, and a very tricky space, which I wasn’t really exposed to earlier.”
Bhoot is directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh. It is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan.
The film, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar, is set to hit the theatres on February 21, 2020.
