Media reports hint that Mrunal Thakur could be coming on board as the main lead opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Thadam’s Bollywood adaptation.
According to the rumour mills, the 27-year-old actor could be playing the role of a cop in the film.
Meanwhile, Malhotra Malhotra will be reportedly essaying a double role.
The original Tamil movie was based on true stories the police officer has a key role in the sequence of events.
Hence, it is anticipated that Mrunal’s character to be based on similar lines. Thadam saw Arun Vijay in a double role.
As per the trailer of the film, there is a mysterious murder on the loose, While on the discovery of the culprit, it is found that the accused has a look-alike.
It also featured had Tanya Hope, Smruthi Venkat, and Vidya Pradeep… The rest of the cast are also expected to be revealed soon
Sidharth is gearing up for Shershaah, his first biographical drama based on India’s courageous army cadet Vikram Batra. Ironically, he plays a double role in that too.
Mrunal too has her hands full with exciting projects. She has Toofan with Farhan Akhtar coming up, Jersey with Shahid Kapoor and Aankh Micholi with Abhimanyu Dassani.
Though official confirmations are awaited, it would be exciting to see Mrunal essay the role of a feisty law-keeper!
