Bigg Boss 14: Host Salman Khan Introduces the Housemates & Seniors Call The Shots

Despite COVID-19, the Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss 14 has kicked-off with great fanfare, new twists and fresh housemates, living up to its tagline ‘Ab Scene Paltega’.

In the grand premiere episode, we saw Sidharth Shukla, Hina Khan and Gauahar Khan being introduced as ‘Toofani Seniors’. 

Collectively, they have the power to accept or reject candidates and when they are accepted or ‘to be confirmed’ (TBC) or rejected. 

The trio will be staying in the house for two weeks and have the ability to convert TBC contestants to confirmed.

As for the rejected housemates, it is likely that there will be a twist. Gauahar reads the most dreaded yet awaited rule book of Bigg Boss and declares herself as the head of the kitchen.

Sidharth is the master of the bedroom and Hina is the principal of the BB Mall, which means that nothing moves in these areas without their will or command.

Who are the contestants?

Jasmin Bhasin – We have seen her before in Khatron Ke Khiladi. She has also acted in TV serials like Naagin 4, Dil Se Dil Tak and Tashne-E-Ishq among others.

Nishant Malkani – was last seen in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega.

Sara Gurpal – Punjabi singer and actor.

Pavitra Punia – a veteran reality show star, Punia is known to be boldface in the show. Earlier seen in Splitsvilla and in serials like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, in which she played an antagonist.

Rubina Dilaik – rose to fame with Choti Bahu serial, seen in Colors’ Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. Never before seen in reality shows, Dilaik enters the Big Boss reality world with her husband, Abhinav Shukla (last seen in Sisila Badalte Rishton Ka) who is also a television actor.

Jaan Kumar Sanu – Singer and son of Kumar Sanu.

Rahul Vaidya – Indian Idol contestant, Vaidya a talented singer seen in various TV music shows like Music Ka Maha Muqqabla, and Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar.

Eijaz Khan – Actor has been seen in both films and television shows like KavyaAnjali and Laut Aao Trisha. Also seen prominently in Tanu weds Manu series.

Shehzad Deol – a Punjabi model, entered the industry through the “Top Model India show. His popularity in the industry shot up after being in ‘Ace of Space’ where he ended up a finalist.

Nikki Tamboli – Popular for acting in the Tamil and Telugu film industry.

Self-styled God-woman Radhe Maa was seen blessing the BB House before the arrival of the contestants.

Now, a new promo shows the spiritual guru having an interaction with the contestants.
