I’m A Celebrity 2020 Line-Up Announced

The full line-up of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2020 has finally been revealed and boasts of names such as Sir Mo Farah and Eastenders star Shane Richie.

Hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, the ITV reality show returns for its 20th series from November 15.

The show has been relocated from the jungles of Australia to North Wales’ Gwrych Castle due to travel issues sparked by the coronavirus pandemic.

Other ‘campmate’ names include journalist Victoria Derbyshire will be joined by actress Beverley Callard, presenter Vernon Kay and former Strictly dancer AJ Pritchard.

EastEnders actress Jessica Plummer, BBC Radio 1 DJ Jordan North, Paralympic champion Hollie Arnold, and author and podcaster Giovanna Fletcher will also be competing to be crowned the first king or queen of the castle.

A spokesman for ITV would not reveal the name of the contestant who had contracted the virus but did emphasise on Monday that the show was in “robust health” and operating within the coronavirus guidelines.

Whilst contestants will not face the usual bush tucker trials, ITV has promised that the contestants can still look forward to “a basic diet of rice and beans and plenty of thrills and surprises”.

Preparations at the 19th Century castle have gone ahead despite the “firebreak” lockdown in Wales, which ended on Monday.

The 2019 launch show was ITV’s most-watched programme of the year, seen by more than 13 million people.

I’m A Celebrity kicks off on Sunday 15th November.
