Remo D’Souza Hospitalised After Suffering Heart Attack

Choreographer-Director Remo D’Souza, who emerged a household name as the judge from Zee TV’s Dance India Dance, has reportedly suffered a heart attack.

The dancer, who is also a Bollywood film director, has is now hospitalised.

As per a media report, D’Souza (aged 46) was rushed to Kokilaben hospital in Mumbai after he suffered the attack. The report also states that he has undergone an angioplasty surgery and is currently stable.

Choreographer friend Dharmesh Yelande informed a prominent publication on his health status. He states:

“Yes, the news is true. Remo sir is fine now, he is doing well. We all are at Kokilaben Hospital with him.”

He further added, “He had to go through a surgery and everything is fine.

We are not allowed inside but we are constantly in touch with his wife Lizelle D’Souza over calls. Remo sir’s health is fine now.”

Remo’s last feature directorial was the 2020 dance film, Street Dancer 3D. The flick featured Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhu Deva in pivotal roles.

Post his successful stint in DID, Remo was later seen in shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Nach Baliye, and Dance Plus as a judge. He was last seen as a guest judge in India’s Best Dancer.

He has also directed many Bollywood films like the ABCD franchise, Race 3 and more.

We’ve also seen him as a guest on shows like Bigg Boss and The Kapil Sharma Show.
