Cinema Is Forever: A Fundraiser Quiz, taking place on Sunday 22nd August from 5-8 pm (IST) is a calling for all the cinephiles as well as championing a noble cause.
Presented by National Award-winning filmmaker Satyanshu Singh (Chintu Ka Birthday), powered by Tulsea, a media and content management company, the quiz will be conducted by Quizmaster Venky, from Nexus Consulting.
As such, the quiz is divided into two rounds.
The first round, around 45 minutes, will serve as the elimination round.
Based on that, the top 10 will be selected for the final round which will be broadcasted live on YouTube or Facebook for everyone to watch.
The final round will be around 90 minutes. Satyanshu Singh, himself an avid quizzer, says: “We have received a lot of entries so far, so even getting to the top 10 should be very cool.”
The focus of the quiz remains on pan-cinema including Hindi movies, regional cinema, world cinema, Hollywood, web series. Satyanshu Singh explains:
“This quiz will test the width and depth of your film knowledge. There may be multiple-choice questions, you may get a picture and question based on that, or be made to listen to a piece of audio. It’s quite wholesome and very entertaining.”
When you purchase a ticket, there is a list of 7 NGOs which the participant can choose to donate the money to.
If you do not have a specific NGO in mind, the ticket price will be split equally among all NGOs. Here’s a list of them:
