With 2021 drawing to a close, all eyes are now on Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey, co-starring Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur.
The trailer and the posters of the movie have caught the attention of the internet, only increasing the anticipation for the film. Plus, with Kapoor’s last venture Kabir Singh grossing huge numbers at the box office, expectations for this forthcoming venture are high.
The recently launched song ‘Mehram’ by Sachet-Parampara has grossed 10 million views within a day. It captures the essence of Shahid’s character of returning to cricket for the love of his son.
The anthem has been sung by Sachet Tandon with lyrics penned by Shailender Singh Sodhi, popularly known as Shellee. The song addresses the listener’s dreams.
‘Mehram’ had already caught the internet by storm when Shahid sang a couple of lines from the song on his Instagram live session before the official launch of the song.
Slated to hit the theatres on 31st December, Jersey is resented by Allu Aravind, under the banner of Allu Entertainment, producers Aman Gill, Dil Raju and S Naga Vamsi Allu have come together to mount Jersey on a large scale.
The movie is directed by the National Award-winning filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri, who has also directed the original Telugu film of the same name.
