Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund Trailer Revealed
The trailer of Jhund by Sairat‘s Nagraj Manjule is out. Legend Amitabh Bachchan plays Vijay, who rallies street children to form a football team. He sees potential for growth in them that no one else can see, not even the youngsters themselves. There is also a glimpse of what appears to be a rousing climactic monologue from the protagonist as he makes the case for his ‘team.’ The video also lets the audience know that society too is responsible for contributing to the destruction of the youth who seemingly have nowhere to go. The movie also stars Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru in pivotal roles. T-Series and ZEE Studios are on board to produce. Film releases on 4th March.
Oscar-Submitted Swedish Film Tigers Set For UK Release
Another film-football news. Sweden’s Academy Awards entrant Tigers secures the UK release date for 3rd June at the Glasgow Film Festival. The movie is a life and death rollercoaster ride through the modern-day football industry. With a unique perspective on the world of professional football training, director Ronni Sandahl tells the true story of football prodigy Martin Bengtsson. A coming-of-age drama about a young man’s burning obsession in a world where everything and everyone, has a price tag. Erik Enge (The Disciple), Alfred Enoch (How To Get Away With Murder), Frida Gustavsson (Dröm) and Liv Mjönes (Advokateni) star.
Rom-Com Ghudchadi Goes On Floors
Bollywood 90s stars Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt star in Binoy Gandhi’s Ghudchadi. Khushalii Kumar and Parth Samthaan also join the cast and the shoot kicks off in Jaipur. T-Series is on board as producers with Gandhi and Deepak Kapur Bhardwaj as writers. Interestingly, both Tandon and Dutt star in KGF: Chapter 2, although they don’t share screen space.
