Taha Shah Badussha Signs Hollywood Period Drama & New Amazon Prime Video Project

EXCLUSIVE: Taha Shah Badussha has been roped into playing a pianist for Cindy Jansen’s forthcoming period drama, Notes. The story is set against the backdrop of the 1980s Cold War. Jessica (Ryan Whitney), a lonely piano prodigy who moves around the globe with her distant military family.

Subsequently, she is forced to defer college to train for a piano competition in Germany. There, she finds the costs of balancing art, friendship, love and duty may be deeper than she thought. Taha plays the role of a music professor named Isaac. The character is a former pianist who suffers burns after trying to save his family. He becomes Jessica’s guiding force.

Just recently, Badussha made his American debut in Tony Stopperan and Nisha Sabharwal’s Draupadi Unleashed. Interestingly, this film is also a drama set in the 1930s. But other than that, Filme Shilmy exclusively learns that he has also signed several other Indian projects.

Taha has also signed an Amazon Prime Video revenge drama. He will be seen in a commercial Hindi film, where he comes from a Punjabi family and revolvers around the ‘wedding’ milieu. Taha also reveals he has signed a major series (of his career). He claims that it will show him in a very different light from what he has done previously.

In other news, the Gippi actor has been occupied with back-to-back successful music videos. After Ek Vaari alongside Daisy Shah and Aaj Sajeya with Alaya F, he is seen in Nikal Jaana with Paro Nair. This track marks his first collab with composer/lyricist, Jaani. He has one more music video in the pipeline which should release soon. Taha was also seen in the second season of Ekta Kapoor’s series Bekaboo on ALTBalaji.
