Jayeshbhai Jordaar Trailer: Ranveer Singh Fights Misogyny
Yash Raj Films have released the trailer, Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The satire revolves around themes of gender equality and superstar Ranveer Singh plays a Gujarati man, whose wife (Shalini Pandey) is expecting a baby girl. Due to the obstinate nature of his misogynistic father (Boman Irani) a Sarpanch and the regressive system in the village, they both run away. Ratna Pathak Shah and Deeksha Joshi star in supporting roles. Bey Yaar actor Divyang Thakkar directs with music by Vishal-Shekhar. The film has been delayed due to the pandemic but is now geared to release on May 13, 2022.
Shah Rukh Khan Roped In For Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki
Shah Rukh Khan announced his next venture with Rajkumar Hirani’s next titled, Dunki. Badla‘s Taapsee Pannu is roped in and the picture is backed by Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. In the announcement video, SRK is seen praising Hirani for his films like Munnabhai M.B.B.S and Sanju. He proceeds to ask him if he has any script for him. Hirani answers positively and says that the film has comedy, drama and romance. However, Khan is baffled by the title as he does not understand its meaning of the title. He is later seen walking away thinking he should just do the film. It gears for a December 23, 2023 release.
Badshah Re-Unites With J Balvin For New Music Tie-Up
Indian rapper Badshah has announced a collaboration with best-selling Colombian artist J Balvin and Puerto Rican producer Tainy called, Voodoo. Badshah is known for hits such as Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, Jugnu and Garmi, while Balvin is best known for tracks such as Mi Gente, In Da Getto and Bonita. Both Badshah and Balvin previously partnered for Que Calor. American electronic dance music group Major Lazer was roped in. Voodoo‘s music video drops on April 22, 2022.
