Streaming Date Of Juhi Chawla’s Web-Series Debut, Hush Hush 

Queen of the 90s, Juhi Chawla and Ayesha Jhulka are gearing for Hush Hush, a 7-part series on Prime Video. The latest news confirms the streaming date to be September 22nd, 2022. Backed by Dushman‘s Tanuja Chandra and Abundantia Entertainment. It revolves around a set of women and an unexpected event exposes their past secrets, threatening their current lives. Knitted in a web of lies, deceit and fighting patriarchy. The story explores the storm that brews behind the seemingly quiet façade of the privileged lives of these women. Also stars Soha Ali Khan Pataudi, Kritika Kamra, Shahana Goswami, and Karishma Tanna in lead roles.

Rani Mukerji Flies To The US For DDLJ Show

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge theatre adaptation Come Fall In Love is the first Bollywood musical set for broadway. Rani Mukerji joins her husband Aditya Chopra to watch the production as it kicks off at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, USA. Chopra’s theatrical debut marks Shruti Merchant’s first as Associate Choreographer. Likewise for composers Vishal and Sheykhar. The musical has 18 Original English songs and a cast of 30 which includes Aladdin‘s Shoba Narayan as Simran and Austin Colby as Roger Mandel, the male lead. It plays until 16th October.

Major Cannes Winner Joyland Acquires Distribution

Studio Soho acquires the UK and Ireland rights for this year’s Cannes Un Certain Regard Jury Prize winner, Joyland. This achievement is a first for Pakistani cinema. Set in Lahore, about a middle-class family. A wheelchair-bound yet severe patriarch rules over his two sons and daughters-in-law. He wants his kids to give him grandchildren. But all changes when his younger son, Haider (Ali Junejo), falls in love with Biba (Alina Khan), a transgender dancer while working as a background dancer for her. The feature also stars Aahat‘s Sania Saeed and Sarwat Gilain (Churails) in pivotal roles. It is co-produced by Zindagi Tamasha‘s Sarmad Khoosat. The movie premieres at London Film Festival on October 6th, 2022.
