Sushant Singh Rajput Responds to Sexual Harassment Claims by Co-Star Sanjana Sanghi

Sushant Singh Rajput, who stars in the Indian adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars, has been accused of sexual harassment by the film’s actress and debutante Sanjana Sanghi.

The remake titled Kizie Aur Manny had recently been delayed due to the differences between the lead actors.

A media report suggested that Sushant Singh Rajput got ‘extra friendly’ with Sanjana who complained to her parents and the director.

Mukesh Chhabra, director of Kizie Aur Manny, however, rubbished this report and had posted a statement on Twitter.

Today, an entertainment portal reported that Sushant Singh Rajput made Sanjana feel uncomfortable on the sets and that he would pass flirtatious comments.

When she complained to Chhabra, he took it lightly and brushed it away. Her parents too came to the sets to speak to the director, but he laughed it off, a source told the portal.

On Twitter, Sushant explained his side of the story:

“The last thing worth doing is to defend yourself of the fiction created by an agenda. People using this much-required campaign for their personal agenda is too much to ignore.

So here is the text conversation with Sanjana till the time I shot for the film. I let you decide.”

Amidst the sexual harassment claims, Twitter has unverified Sushant Singh Rajput’s handle over charges of sexual misconduct against him.

Fox Star Studios, producers of the movie, has suspended Mukesh.

An official statement reads as:

“As a responsible organization, Star India takes any allegation of sexual harassment of women at workplace very seriously hence Fox Star Studios has suspended the services of Mukesh Chabbra, director of our film, Kizzie Aur Manny, which is under productions, till the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of M/s Mukesh Chhabra Casting Company concludes its inquiry into the allegations against him.”
