Selena Gomez is currently on a promotional spree of her upcoming film, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, for which the actress has provided her voiceover.
The actress, as we know, is also a singer with hits like Bad Liar, Hands To Myself, Come And Get It and Back To You to her credits.
In conversation with an Indian tabloid, Selena expressed her desire to collaborate with Indian musicians including musical maestro and Oscar winner AR Rahman.
“I have been following a few musicians in India and I believe they are wonderful. I like AR Rahman’s work. He is a global figure today. I would love to sing or be part of his compositions. I think it would be beautiful to sing for [a] Bollywood [movie].”
Interestingly, if one listens closely, there is an Indian influence in Gomez’s Come And Get It song. We can hear dholaks being played, alongside a male voice singing in the background – which seems to be in the Hindi language.
It would be awesome to hear Selena sing for a Bollywood film as there have been an array of international singers who have given it a go in Hindi. A few names also include Akon, Kylie Minogue and Snoop Dogg, amongst several others!
As for Selena’s forthcoming film Hotel Transylvania 3, it also features Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Kevin James, David Spade, Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, Molly Shannon, Fran Drescher and Mel Brooks and is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky.
